Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Jon Degen has spent the last two decades establishing himself as both a live musician and producer. Jon caught the music bug early and put in the time and work to familiarize himself with many instruments, and has now performed professionally on saxophone, guitar, bass guitar, drums, steel guitar, and piano.
For the last 15 years, Jon has been performing at legendary venues and festivals, touring through all of North America and Europe with the likes of ska legends The Toasters and Big D and the Kids Table, as well as psych-funk outfit Ghost Funk Orchestra.
In the studio, Jon has been using his familiarity with a multitude of genres and styles on different instruments to inject his sound into session work and productions, most recently having produced the debut album from friend and colleague Ben Basile debut ska/reggae/jazz full-length album “Benergy”.
